I think that there's an 80/20 rule at play here (as with practically everything else in the world). Most social networks will get some amount of traction from the 20% of their users that are heavy users of the site. If a network can't attract those users, it will die. The really successful networks just have a percentage of heavy users that is higher than 20 or have such a broad and compelling offering that many people use it (a la MySpace).Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
